Momonga is a naughty and playful flying squirrel. It is always focused on acting cute and is always begging for attention. Even during dangerous situations, it would ask for food and rest. In pursuit of these, it is core motivation for Momonga to "act cute", and they make conscious effort to imitate other characters' cute actions, notably Chiikawa.
The anime's first movement depicts the struggle between a flying squirrel and a hunter lumberjack. The second, directed by Makoto Tezuka, depicts the love story of two dragonflies as they follow the course of a river through the forest. The third movement, which was never realized, was intended to feature falling raindrops.
She later gains the ability to transform into a human and into Cure Nyammy, a mysterious Pretty Cure who appears to aid Wonderful and Friendy and to protect Mayu, as shown in the anime.
