The 50 miles (80 km) of hiking and riding trails in Garland Ranch Regional Park are popular with riders, hikers, and joggers. One trail leads past a waterfall, and another is an 800-foot high "Inspiration Point" overlooking the valley. The park offers a number of hiking trails such as the La Mesa Trail which leads to the high grassland area.
The most recognized regional trails are Jedidiah Smith Memorial Trail and Pioneer Express Trail. The public transport that accesses the recreation area include Placer County Transit, Folsom Stageline, Roseville Transit, and Sacramento Regional Transit. The recreation area is located at the union of the north and south forks of the American River.

Dry Creek (formerly called Linda Creek) is a 15-mile (24 km) long stream in Placer County, California, [1] tributary to the Sacramento River via Steelhead Creek.Its watershed lies within the Sacramento Valley. [2]
The park is a popular spot for running, hiking, and horseback riding. Additionally, it is a common location for mountain biking, which can be done on several trails, including the Aptos Rancho Trail, Split Stuff Trail, Terrace Trail, and Vienna Woods Trail. [2] The park includes picnic tables where visitors can sit and enjoy the sights. [5]

In Davis, a college town for UC Davis, cycling is incredibly popular. Here, some 23.2% of commuters commute by bicycle, the highest in the nation.
