Dennis Gerard Walsh (born June 16, 1965) is an American bishop of the Catholic Church. He currently serves as the bishop of the Diocese of Davenport . When he was ordained a priest he was a member of the Redemptorist congregation and later became a priest in the Diocese of Toledo in America .
The Bishop began his vocational life as a Redemptorist, professing temporary vows in 1986 and final vows in 1991. Ordained a priest in 1992, he served in several assignments as a Redemptorist until 1998. In 2000, he was incardinated as a diocesan priest of the Diocese of Toledo. On the scroll below the shield is inscribed the Bishop’s motto.
Gerald Thomas Walsh (born April 25, 1942) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who served as an auxiliary bishop and vicar general of the Archdiocese of New York. While bishop, Walsh also served as rector of St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers, New York, from 2007 to 2013.
Walsh was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Scranton on June 25, 1995, by Bishop James Clifford Timlin at St. Peter's Cathedral in Scranton. [2]After his 1995 ordination, the diocese assigned Walsh as parochial vicar of Saint Rose of Lima Parish in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, and as director of religious education at Sacred Heart High School in Carbondale.
