The production version of the car was unveiled at the 11th Auto Expo in New Delhi on 6 January 2012. It was launched in India on 12 April 2012 [1] and in Indonesia on 22 April 2012. [2] It became available in South Africa on 9 June 2014 and in the Philippines on 17 July 2014. Its development was led by chief engineer Toshikatsu Hibi.
