The Cambridge Law Journal was founded in 1921 as a student publication by the Cambridge University Law Society, though there was a Faculty editor, initially Arthur Lehman Goodhart, a fellow at Corpus Christi. Glanville Llewelyn Williams QC (Hon) FBA (15 February 1911 – 10 April 1997) was a Welsh legal scholar who was the Rouse Ball Professor of English Law at the University of Cambridge from 1968 to 1978 and the Quain Professor of Jurisprudence at University College, London, from 1945 to 1955.
After graduating in law from Queens' College, Cambridge, Wedderburn served in the RAF for two years. He had a long career in labour law, and on 20 July 1977 was created a life peer with the title Baron Wedderburn of Charlton, of Highgate in Greater London [5] (Wedderburn chose this title as a tribute to his favourite football team Charlton Athletic F.C. [6] [citation needed] [7]).
