Predator Gaming is a gamer-focused brand and line of computer hardware owned by Acer. In 2008, Acer introduced itself in the gaming computer market with a line of desktop computers : the Acer Aspire Predator series, later renamed as Acer Predator.
There are a number of other companies (AMD, Microchip, Altera, etc.) making specialized chipsets as part of other ICs, and they are not often found in PC hardware (laptop, desktop or server). There are also a number of now defunct companies (like 3com, DEC, SGI) that produced network related chipsets for us in general computers.
Acer Aspire Switch 10 was announced in April 2014. It is a 10.1-inch two-in-one, with a 1366 × 768 resolution display and Intel Atom Z3745 processor. A second-generation Acer Aspire Switch 10 was then launched in October 2014 It was given a different display resolution of 1280 × 800, and a different Intel Atom Z3735F processor.
Acer's EMEA headquarters are located in Lugano, Switzerland. From the late 1990s to mid-2000s, Acer had computer factories in Europe. The business area was the whole EMEA. In the Netherlands under the name of Acer IMS bv, there were two factories: Acer laptop factory in Den Bosch and Acer and IBM desktop factory in Tilburg.
