Firhad Hakim (born 1 January 1959) is an Indian politician serving as the current and 38th Mayor of Kolkata. [3] He is also serving as Cabinet Minister of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs and Housing, Government of West Bengal. He is a MLA of the Trinamool Congress party from Kolkata Port.

Suvendu Adhikari (born 15 December 1970) [4] is an Indian politician from Bharatiya Janata Party who is the current Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly since 2021 and a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from Nandigram Assembly constituency since 2021 and from Contai South (Vidhan Sabha constituency) from 2006 to 2009.
