Lisa Edelstein (/ ˈ l iː s ə ˈ ɛ d əl s t iː n / EDD-əl-steen; born May 21, 1966) [1] is an American actress and artist. She is known for playing Dr. Lisa Cuddy on the Fox medical drama series House (2004–2011). Between 2014 and 2018, Edelstein starred as Abby McCarthy in the Bravo series Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce.
Born in into a show business family, her father is Harry Davis, the leader of the Oscar Rabin Orchestra, and her older sister is feature singer Beryl Davis.Lisa appeared in 26 film and television projects from 1949 to 1962, appearing in guest spots in such shows as The George Burns Show, The Jack Benny Program, Perry Mason, The Beverly Hillbillies, and 77 Sunset Strip, among others.
