Bowling Green is a city in and the county seat of Wood County, Ohio, United States, [9] located 20 miles (32 km) southwest of Toledo. The population was 30,808 at the 2020 census . Anderson Arena played host to the championship game of the 1983 Mid-American Conference men's basketball tournament, in which Bowling Green lost 59–56 to Ohio. The arena also hosted first round games for the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament in 1989, 1993 and 1994. [ 2 ]
Much of the city of Bowling Green, the county seat of Wood County, is located in western Center Township. Center Township is also the location of the Wood County Airport, and of the intersection of I-75 and U.S. Route 6. [4]
