Kanako Urai (浦井 佳奈子, Urai Kanako, born September 26, 1981) [1] [2] is a Japanese professional wrestler.She is signed to WWE, where she performs on the Raw brand under the ring name Asuka (アスカ or 明日華, / ˈ ɑː s k ə /), [9] as a member of Damage CTRL.
As part of the team, Asuka was a former one-time Raw Women's Champion and had won the women's Money in the Bank. The team originally formed as faces in April 2019 with Paige as their manager before turning heels and kicking Paige in October of the same year. Asuka and Sane amicably split up in July 2020 when the latter left WWE to return to Japan.
