Hi all, there are cruises that are on carnival sunrise and carnival conquest that both leave out of Miami and follow the same 4 night itinerary (Key West, Cozumel). The Conquest cruise is $513.72 while the Sunrise cruise is $625.72. Would some Carnival legacy cruisers share if 100 extra is worth the new features added to Sunrise in the referb.
Thanks so much for posting your review. The Conquest is one of my favorite Carnival ships. We cruised on the Horizon in November last year and couldn't even get near the Alchemy bar, it was always packed. We did, however, eat and drink at Guy Fieri's Smokehouse/Brewhouse and they have a great bar in the Smokehouse.
We are considering changing from our 7th deck interior cabin to a Lido Deck interior cabin on the Carnival Breeze. It's $140 more, but we're attracted to the proximity of the pool and Marketplace. The specific cabins are interior 10280-10289.
Comparing Sunrise to Conquest I prefer Conquest. The lido deck on Sunrise seems to not have a good flow, too many choke points. Its like they crammed as much on as they could. Also make sure you research Key West.... some locals are against large cruise ships visiting, legal action and cancelled port calls have resulted.
One of the reps from carnival told me I should have picked something higher and centralized. At the time they had something higher for no additional cost when I did actually book. But, in a attempt to keep everyone on the same deck (one cabin has 3 and the other 2 ppl) we decided on deck 2. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Almost the same here. We were on the Panorama Deck on the Conquest and are booked on the same deck, opposite side on the Glory in two weeks. You'll love how you can walk out of your cabin hallway and walk right on to the upper levels of the Lido Deck. So close to most of the action yet your cabins are quiet and close by.
The Conquest was refurbished in 2017 and is about 9% larger at 110,000 tons. Don't know about any specific venues that may be on one of the ships and not on the other. Because of the 2019 versus 2017 refurbishment, I would choose the Sunrise.

These cabins are located just above the Degas Lounge and the noise is TERRIBLE. We traveled with two other couples. We personally had cabin 6442. The extended balcony was wonderful and the L-shaped room was nice. However, the noise from below was unbearable. It vibrated the floors, windows and ev...
