The Biltmore Area is an upscale residential neighborhood of Phoenix, Arizona. It is among the city's wealthiest neighborhoods, [1] with a "posh" reputation. [2] The Arizona Biltmore Hotel is in the area. [2] Housing includes both condominiums [3] as well as mansions and older homes. [4]
Alfred Newman Beadle V (1927–1998) was an American modernist architect active in Phoenix, Arizona. Beadle is best known for designing Case Study Apartment #1 , a three-unit apartment development known as the Triad in Phoenix, AZ, which was part of the Case Study House program of Arts & Architecture magazine.
The development is located in Tempe, Arizona about 2 miles (3.2 km) from downtown and is the first project of the startup Culdesac. [5] [6] Construction of the neighborhood began in 2019, was estimated to cost $140 million, span 16 acres (6.5 ha), and include 636 apartment units and 24,000 square feet (2,200 m 2) of restaurant and retail space. To the south of the region is the border between the United States and Mexico, and to the north and east is the Arizona transition zone and the Mountains of Arizona. The Southern California Megaregion is to the west and is the nearest other Megaregion to the Arizona Sun Corridor.
