The Pinellas Bayway consists of: State Road 682, an east–west divided highway connecting SR 699 on a Gulf of Mexico barrier island near St. Pete Beach, Florida to Interstate 275 and US 19 in St. Petersburg. The 3.7-mile-long State Road 682 passes over three bridges (toll:$1.00) as it crosses the entrance of Boca Ciega Bay.
After the latter road, it runs north–south through the rest of its route. The Southern Connector as well as the beltway begins at an interchange with I-4 in Celebration. Approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) of SR 429 roadway was demolished and on May 14, 2012, a new interchange opened from SR 429 northbound to SR 414 eastbound and from SR 414 westbound to SR 429 southbound.
