ive started to notice that there are small shad balls randomly in about 8-12 feet over creek channels. Near grass of course - it is Gunt after all.
Locations will probably vary according to which part of the lake you are fishing in. The Osage will probably be pretty muddy still when you are there. Check the Nianguas...they might be cleaned out pretty well by then and both the Big and Little are good places in the spring for staging fish and the water will warm a little quicker there also ...

Thanks for the report and nice looking Bass. That Crappie looks good also now if you just had a few more to go with that one. if crappie fought harder, it might be easier to stop bass fishing and go chase them . bo

Fishing was slow for the most part. After reading a bit about the lake I fouund that the main cover on the lake was lilly pads, so thats where I started my hunt. The lake is relativly shallow, 8' being the deepest I found. Started by throwing a spinnerbait up into the edges of the pads, near the deepest water I could find, 6'.
