The One Hundred Twenty-seventh Ohio General Assembly was the legislative body of the state of Ohio in 2007 and 2008. The biennium corresponded with the final days the Bob Taft administration, and the first two years of Ted Strickland's tenure as Ohio Governor.

Ohio's 4th House of Representatives district is currently represented by Democrat Beryl Piccolantonio. It is located entirely within Franklin County and includes the cities of Gahanna , New Albany , Westerville , and part of Columbus , as well as Blendon , Jefferson , Plain , and Sharon townships.
In 2008, Ohio established the Department of Veterans Services with the passage of Senate Bill 289 in the 127th Ohio General Assembly, a bill sponsored by Sen. Robert Spada and passed with bipartisan support. The mission of the ODVS is to actively identify, connect with, and advocate for veterans and their families.
Throughout his tenure in the House, Wolpert served as Chairman of the Township and Government Committee, and of the Subcommittee on Growth and Land Use in the Ohio 125th General Assembly. He again served as Chair of the Local Government Committee in the 126th General Assembly, and the 127th General Assembly.
