The Pokemon Go Community Map is a web app devoted to providing the Pokemon Go community the ability to easily and effortlessly add neighborhood Pokestops, Gyms, and Pokemon sightings. Though the map is in a semi-beta phase, regular updates are rolling out daily to ensure that the community is constantly engaged!
But your post is just adorable. I totally understand there are new players and this may be their very first Pokémon game. But I think the majority of players who have been growing up with the series have this map (and all the towns within) memorized and could probably go through blindfolded.

I love On the Go Map! Only frustrating thing is how long it takes them to incorporate updates from Open Street Map. I like to add trails and paths to make routing easier and there is quite a bit of lag between updates to OSM and when On the Go Map syncs those updates.
I've found that I seldom need to map over more than one data type in an application (say strings). For these situations, just writing a map, filter and reduce function that handles strings solves the situation for me. intel.ingress.com is the best tool to know where are the pokestops, you need to know that maybe in the ingress map there are more "portals" than pokestops in pokemon go because maybe one or more portals are in the same cell that pokemon go use to create pokestops/gyms, I don't know if you need to have an Ingress account but if that is the case you can create one.
This is based on most reliable spawns locations and S2 Level 14 cells borders (which are approximately rectangles). The map is inspired by the previous regional map from the fellow silphroader u/oktimeforplanb and further improved on top of that. This is 20180624 release. I will update regularly for any further improvement.
And the Vivillon pattern areas do not follow national/provincial/state lines as neatly as this map indicates. A thin slice of Canada, along the straight western border with the U.S. matches their southern neighbour, not their northern countrymen.
