Olafur Eliasson (Icelandic: Ólafur Elíasson; born 5 February 1967) [1] is an Icelandic–Danish artist known for sculptured and large-scaled installation art employing elemental materials such as light, water, and air temperature to enhance the viewer's experience.
Oscar Eliason was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on 8 July 1869, [1] the third of nine children of Mormon pioneers Olof Larsson Eliasson (1836–1920) and Ingar Emma Andersson (1838–1893), who had migrated to the United States from Sweden.
Eliason attended Glenbard East High School in the United States. He was described as "led the Rams to their two best seasons in school history in a difficult soccer conference". [1] After that, he attended Northwestern University in the United States. He became the soccer team's all-time top scorer with thirty-three goals. [2]
