Sled dog racing (sometimes termed dog sled racing) is a winter dog sport most popular in the Arctic regions of the United States, Canada, Russia, Greenland and some European countries. [1] It involves the timed competition of teams of sled dogs that pull a sled with the dog driver or musher standing on the runners.
Bo-Dyn Bobsled Project, Inc. is a bobsled constructor, founded in 1992 by former NASCAR driver and 1986 Daytona 500 winner Geoff Bodine, that collaborates on the design, manufacture and supply of U.S.-built racing sleds for the United States Bobsled and Skeleton Federation (USBSF). The project is classified as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
A bridle is attached to the kick sled, and a gangline to that, with one to three dogs pulling. GingerMan Raceway is a road racing course located east of the town of South Haven in southwest Michigan, United States. The track was built in 1995 and opened for its first full season of racing sports cars and motorcycles in 1996. The track is 2.14 miles long and sits on 330 acres. [1] The Gridlife festival is held at the venue since 2014.
