Willow Meadows is a subdivision in Houston, Texas, United States. Willow Meadows straddles the southwest corner of 610 Loop, but lies fully inside Beltway 8. The subdivision is next to Meyer Park, a shopping center. Willow Meadows is east of Meyerland, north of Willowbend, west of Westwood, and south of the city of Bellaire.
In 1965 it had its corporate headquarters in Houston and 20 stores in the Greater Houston area (Houston, Seabrook, and South Houston); one of its Houston stores was in Meyerland Plaza. In 1966, Kroger announced that it was expanding its presence in Greater Houston and that it would retire the Henke & Pillot name.
The W. T. Carter Jr. House at 18 Courtlandt Place (NRHP-listed) was also designed by Birdsall Briscoe in 1912, and was the only home in Courtlandt Place built in the Prairie style. Briscoe collaborated with Olle J. Lorehn. [3] The house was built for W. T. "Bill" Carter Jr. (1887–1957) and Lillie Neuhaus Carter (1890–1966).
The communities it serves include Bellaire, Missouri City, Uptown Houston (the Galleria area), and Southwest Houston, including Meyerland and Sharpstown. [3] Pediatric care to the hospital is provided by doctors from Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital which treats infants, children, teens, and young adults age 0-21.
