I have been editing some fonts on typetool and combined them so the old style figures and small caps are all on one font. The characters are available in the glyph palette but they are not understood by the opentype options or the small caps button in indesign. It seems that these don't work for .ttf files but I converted the font to .ot.

Is is possible to create an underline to a glyph character that is a fixed height. i.e. does not scale with the font size? This underline also needs to be consistently (x)mm below the font baseline irrespective of the font size. If anyone could help me with resolving this problem I would be very grateful. Many thanks
