Hey everyone, around the end of 2019 and into 2020 I was hardcore listening to Badmotorfinger on spotify, I seem to recall, although im not 100% on this, but there were at least 2 versions uploaded, one special edition and the other regular edition.

Soundgarden was an organically grown band, with no money involved at the beginning. Audioslave was two bands that were already established sort of creating a contrived sound. I like Audioslave, but Soundgarden (and Rage for that matter) was more of a real band, and wrote music that was much more raw and real.
Soundgarden - King Animal. Aged very well, maybe not on the same level as the previous 3 albums, but a fine album nonetheless. Hope they can get the album they were working on out some day

Nirvana and Pearl Jam are great and so is Alice in Chains but man, Soundgarden literally flipped my shit back in High School! It wasn't even so much of Chris's vocals but Kim's riffs. They were easily the Black Sabbath of the 90s. I'm so fucking glad they're back.
The use of strings tuned to the same note creates a chorus kind of effect that is uniquely Soundgarden. However, I've played guitar in multiple bands over the years and count Soundgarden as probably my biggest songwriting influence. And there is a secret weapon that I would recommend even if money was no object. The Nobel ODR-1 guitar pedal.
But make no mistake, Soundgarden IS a huge and well-known band, so this sits kind of weird to me. Soundgarden's stuff is great, but I'd argue not as catchy as those other bands. Black Hole Sun, their biggest hit, has a flat chorus and non-pop song structure, however it was definitely helped by the repetition of the chorus and the music video.
