Cimarron Strip is an American Western television series starring Stuart Whitman as Marshal Jim Crown. The series was produced by the creators of Gunsmoke and aired on CBS from September 1967 to March 1968. Reruns of the original show were aired in the summer of 1971.
An album, also called "Rings" was released which reached 187 [5] on the Billboard 200 album chart. Cymarron was composed of Rick Yancey (December 31, 1947 – September 10, 2021), [6] Sherrill Parks (July 21, 1948 - July 24, 2022), and Richard Mainegra. [7] They named their group after Cimarron Strip - a short-lived TV western from 1967. [7]

Cimarron is the ninth studio album by Emmylou Harris that, like its predecessor, Evangeline, was composed mostly of outtakes from other recording sessions that had not fit into any of Harris' other albums. As a result, critics at the time complained that the album was "choppy" and lacked a unifying sound.
The title track became one of the band's signature songs, and was later recorded by Emmylou Harris on her album, Cimarron. The band's old label, Epic Records, released Poco Live just one month before Rose of Cimarron, causing confusion among listeners and helping sales of the former at the expense of the latter.

Upon its release, Orinoco received positive reviews from Billboard, Songlines and PopMatters.. Billboard praised the album for being "a contemporary resonance of joropo", [3] while PopMatters recommended Orinoco as "good both for listeners craving foundational folk music from the album's namesake valley and those who yearn for the fresh and contemporary".
The album included a cover of Bob Marley's "Talking Blues" which charted in Jamaica at the number 1 spot for several weeks where it was released on Tommy Cowan's Talent Corp label. [6] The album also featured a tribute to Paul Bogle, the leader of the 1865 Morant Bay Rebellion who was made a National Hero by the Jamaican government in 1969.
