All Hail King Julien is an American animated television series that stars King Julien, Maurice, and Mort from DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar franchise and takes place in Madagascar before the events of the first film, making it a prequel. In Julien's early life as seen in All Hail King Julien, he was depicted as the nephew of King Julien XII, who banned all noisy things to keep the fossa from attacking. After Julien XII abdicated to evade a prophecy from being eaten by the Fossa, Julien XIII became the new King of the Lemurs and did things that were opposite his uncle's rules.
Unlike The Penguins of Madagascar and All Hail King Julien, the series features all four zoo animals (here called the Zoosters) in main roles (both prior series had only Alex appear in guest roles), and does not feature an appearance in any form from either the Penguins, the Lemurs, or the Chimps.

Julien teaches the robot how to dance, but Mort becomes jealous of Lemmy. The penguins want to teach the robot the skills it really needs for its mission to Mars.
