Center Township, population 7,464, is one of thirteen townships in Chatham County, North Carolina. Center Township is 65.71 square miles (170.2 km 2) [2] in size and located in central Chatham County. Center Township contains the town of Pittsboro within it.

Gulf Township, population 3,363, is one of thirteen townships in Chatham County, North Carolina. Gulf Township is 74.33 square miles (192.5 km 2) [2] in size and located in southwestern Chatham County. Gulf Township does not contain any towns in it.

Tick Creek rises in a pond on the Love Creek divide about 4 miles south of Siler City, North Carolina in Chatham County and then flows south and makes a curve to the northeast to join the Rocky River about 5 miles southeast of Siler City. [2]
