The truck is completely stock. I had to recently replace two injectors, so I elected to have all 8 replaced. Roughly 45 days after the injectors were replaced I now have these 2 codes intermittingly coming up. I am looking for some advise or direction as how to correct this/these concerns.

I have had some security issues lately so I added a Ring security floodlight camera to our house. It’s been really great and made me wish I had internet in my barn so I could have one out there too. My barn is 250-300’ away from the house so adding internet isn’t an easy proposition - of course...

Here are some good hard numbers that you can take to the bank. Piston clearance Cylinders 1,2,3,4,5,6 can be set at .004" and work very well Cylinders 7 & 8 run a tad hotter and will be very happy at aroound .0045" The book does give slightly lower numbers on these as minimums but, dont take a chance with a scuffed piston, use the numbers as ...

I will admit, the 6.5 does come with some fundamental engineering flaws, all rectified and brought up to speed with internet shopping and some elbow grease from me, myself, and I. Some of these include, but are not limited to…. Relocated Pump mounted Driver(PMD) .“BCD” package from Leroy Diesel… Raptor lift pump with Wix pre filter.

Yes but it has to have a certain amount of oil above the line fo the proper back pressure- I would expect 1.5-2” is plenty. If you are not going to just cap the line, I would buy the valve. I wasn’t aware that outfit was selling the unit without one. CKO, probably shouldn’t be surprised I guess.

  8. Best Timing Chain? - The Truck Stop

    www.thetruckstop.us/forum/threads/best-timing-chain.29613

The 6.5 IP is gear driven off the camshaft then chain to crank. Cummings and Duramax engines use gears exclusively. Your 6.5 block will crack itself to death someday even with a chain. When it does you remove the gears and ARP studs and find another block. Chain is going to stretch some and require a re-time of the IP.

Might also do an internet search for tire scribe. With one of these devices it matters not if the bolt pattern is a small four, metric, american, six or eight. Just scribe and measure. Oh yeah, also, there are measuring sticks on legs with 1/32nd inch marks to make this a one man operation.
