Excel is a crossover thrash band from Venice, California, founded by singer Dan Clements and guitarist Adam Siegel in 1983. They were influenced by early punk rock bands like the Germs and Black Flag , as well as heavy metal bands like Black Sabbath , Trouble , Slayer , Corrosion of Conformity and Cryptic Slaughter .
