Channel had a rating of C- on social blade last month before I started to upload new videos (my new content... not the low quality videos I had been uploading before) but now my channel has D- rating on social blade. I've read it "doesn't matter what rating" social blade gives but then I read somewhere else that it does matter.
Hi, I have been following my Youtube Channel for about 3 months (maybe more). It took a while for it to register my channel is from South Africa (month or less). BUT the channel type is still blank !!!! ALL of my videos are gaming and are registered by YT as gaming in the video's description...
I'm addicted to Social Blade too. I've just been "promoted" to a B-, but this follows 20 days of very rapid growth that has seen my channel go from about 800 views and 1 or 2 subscribers per day, to about 5000 views and about 30 subscribers per day. I think the "promotion" may have come in part because of my growth trajectory.
Social blade isn't always the most accurate, but even if it is that 'mark' doesn't really mean anything. Usually it counts for 'growth', but also takes into account views your channel has got in previous months/years so if you had a good run for a few months and it dropped back off, Social Blade will take that into account with your score.
YouTube's API doesn't always update every day. We have three zero view days this week, which means we're about 330,000 views short of where we should be on the counter. Give it some time and it will eventually catch up.

Social Blade's future predictions are not all that hard to understand. It is all linear. "It took you 6 months to get 50 subs? So we think it will take 6 months more to get 100." It doesn't take into account that you could go exponential and actually end up with way more.
I was wondering firstly if anyone had any insight into the channel type listing on Social Blade, as recently mine has changed from gaming to people, and I have no idea why. I haven't uploaded any different content, and I haven't gone through the advanced settings to make any changes since my first upload. So I'm not sure why this would've changed.
If you have a C or below you suck, and should quit YouTube. Just kidding. I hope they do a better job of making it a more accurate reflection, though, since it would be kinda cool to get a grade based on views, subs, watch rate, etc. And it be an accurate scale too.
