I bought a Lezyne Macro Drive 1300XXL for this season's night riding. I compared it to my similarly priced NiteRider Lumina 900 Boost. There's a considerable difference in performance between these two lights.
Review: Lezyne Alloy Drive Pump and ABS2 Quick Connect Chuck The Lezyne name has always been synonymous with beautiful design. Despite the incredible looking product however, I've always hated their pump heads. Rather than utilizing the same basic QR style head as most brands, Lezyne used a screw on chuck.
Lezyne entered the GPS/cycling computer market with a bang and has been refining its offerings ever since. Lezyne recently released the Enhanced Super GPS, which is available with a heart rate strap and speed/cadence sensor. It's a one stop bundle for training and tracking. Lezyne Super GPS Load computer bundle comes with: Forward Mount
The Digital Shock Drive from Lezyne is an ultra portable shock pump with a digital gauge. It is constructed from CNC machined aluminum and features a nylon braided hose with an integrated pressure relief valve. It's powered by a CR12220 battery that is user replaceable. Lezyne claims it can produce 350 psi (24 bar). Pros. Slim profile; Lightweight
The Lowdown: Lezyne Deca Drive 1500XXL Lezyne's top end light now is the Deca Drive instead of the Mega Drive from last year. It is a lot more sleek than last year, but it shares the output of last year's top light at about 1400 Lumens. Beam pattern is beautiful with a wide beam and a high center optic to see far into the trail.
Test loop with the Lezyne Mega Drive. Camera is on a locked ISO setting and is set to Wide Angle mode The good news is the light beam pattern is bright and beautiful. It is very easy to ride with as it throws far and wide as shown in the video. The beam has a nice spot in the middle that has a far throw.
Lezyne Macro 1300: Pretty much the same as the Moon, good light but the beam is a little narrow for trail riding IMO. The 1600/1800 version have more appropriate wider beams but are also more expensive. Blackburn Dayblazer 1100/1500: I'm a hater so don't buy this light (I own both a 1100 and 1500).
I like my Lezyne, which was bought to replace a Joe Blow that had it's hose degrade and crack (didn't realize at the time there was a store nearby with replacement hose/tubing). The Lezyne seems higher quality than the Topeak to me. However, the one thing the Topeak had over it was a movable arrow indicator on the gauge so you could set a target.
The Mega Drive is the flagship of the Lezyne light line. It features a robust and machine chassis with more heatsinks that we've ever seen in a light head. The beam is produced by two LEDs working in concert to produce both width and throw. The mount has been improved too with the Mega Drive, as well as with the newer Deca Drive.
Ended up buying a Birzman Maha Apogee Fatty Floor Pump which I think will be better than either the Lezyne or JoeBlow. It does 0-25psi and is all metal like the Lezyne  "A quick comparison between the Birzman pump and the new Topeak Joe Blow Fat at Eurobike proved the Maha to be more efficient pointing to the fact that there is more ...
