The 2023 Pac-12 Conference baseball tournament was held from May 23 through 27 at Scottsdale Stadium in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was the second postseason championship event sponsored by the Pac-12 Conference since 1978. Oregon won the tournament and the league's automatic bid to the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. [2] [3] [4]
The Wildcats finished the 2024 season with a record of 36–23 (20–10 Conf.), winning the Pac-12 regular season championship. In the Pac-12 Conference Baseball Tournament in Scottsdale, AZ, the top-seeded Wildcats defeated Washington in pool play before falling to California.
Arizona State University adopted baseball as a varsity sport in 1959. Under the guidance of coach Bobby Winkles , the Sun Devils finished their first season with a 28–18–1 record. In 1964, Coach Winkles led the team to a 44–7 record, winning the Western Athletic Conference title.

Arizona has won four college baseball national championships (1976, 1980, 1986 and 2012), the first three under Jerry Kindall and the most recent under Andy Lopez. The team has appeared in the College World Series Championship Game or Series on four other occasions ( 1956 , 1959 , 1963 , and 2016 ).
