Sponge Cola (sometimes spelled Spongecola) is a Filipino rock band formed in 2002. The band is composed of Yael Yuzon on vocals and guitars, Gosh Dilay on bass, Armo Armovit on guitars and drummer Tedmark Cruz.
After a few years, Yuzon and Gosh Dilay remained in the band while the two other members leave and were replaced by Christopher "Chris" Cantada and Erwin "Armo" Armovit. Armovit was a former guitarist of the band Rampqueen, considered the sister band of Sponge Cola. Yuzon's career started early, though.
Its members are Wendell Garcia on drums, Chad Rialp (of Sound and Liquid Jane) on bass, Pat Tirano (of Toi and Monkeyspank, co-produced Beautiful Machines and also co-produced Sponge Cola's Transit and self-titled third album with Yani Yuzon) on lead guitars and Yani Yuzon himself on frontman duties.
