The Guyon Hotel is a historic former hotel in Chicago, Illinois.The hotel was designed by Jens J. Jensen - no relation to the famous landscape architect Jens Jensen - in 1927 and was built in red and cream brick with arched windows on two floors and exquisite, detailed terra cotta ornaments typical of Jensen's work.
The Billy Goat Tavern is a chain of taverns located in Chicago, Illinois. Its restaurants are based on the original Billy Goat Tavern founded in 1934 [1] by Billy Sianis, a Greek immigrant. It achieved fame primarily through newspaper columns by Mike Royko, a supposed curse on the Chicago Cubs, and the Olympia Cafe sketch on Saturday Night Live.
In February 2014 following a multimillion-dollar renovation, Amalfi Hotel Chicago was rebranded as Kinzie Hotel. Managed by Portfolio Hotels & Resorts, it was designed by Gettys Design Group, Chicago, and pays tribute to John Kinzie, prominently recognized as Chicago's first civilian. The hotel has 210 guest rooms and 5 suites. [citation needed]
Originally marketed by YMCA as a cheap residence for young, single men, the hotel began marketing to a wider clientele when the Great Depression created a demand for inexpensive lodging. The hotel's status and customers declined with the surrounding neighborhood, and it closed in 1979; it reopened as an apartment building in 1985. [ 2 ]

The Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile, formerly named the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower, is a hotel in Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. [1] It is operated by the Sofitel hotel chain. The hotel was designed by French architect Jean-Paul Viguier .
After the sale, the hotel underwent major renovations including a new lobby, new guest rooms, bathrooms, and a refurbished lobby and bar. The primary historic façade and trademark "Inn of Chicago" neon sign were restored. [7] The restoration resulted in 359 guest rooms, six suites, and 5,800 square feet (540 m 2) of meeting space.

Ballast Point Brewing Company was founded in San Diego in 1996. It was acquired by Constellation Brands in 2015. The brewpub in Chicago opened in 2018.
