I have been having engine issues and want to log what is happening when I run it around the block. I built the simple transistor and double transistor ALDL cable so I can hook it up to my laptop and log with TTS ...

Look for a '04 or '05 model Rubicon.. there are still a lot of 2005 Rubicons out there that give you the extended warranty compared to '06 Rubicons... and cheaper. There were basically no differences between 2005 and 2006. 2004 Jeep Wrangler Sport - 5 speed.

Everything worked fine till starter went out. Picked up the cheap model from AA and it ground real bad and burnt up, replaced with same and did it again.

  6. Upper Control Arms: JBA or RRO? | Jeep Enthusiast Forums

    www.jeepforum.com/threads/upper-control-arms-jba-or-rro...

JBA arms use XK/WK control arm bushings whereas RRO use KJ bushings. The JBA arms are made to the correct span (same as OEM arms). The RRO arms take a bit of finesse to install. My first set of RRO arms were about 1/4" less in span than whats pictured below and resulted in the bushings separating and the control arm rubbing on the unibody which ...

  7. Cracked intake manifold: JB Weld? | Jeep Enthusiast Forums

Apply the JB weld mixture, then let it set up for at least 24 hours before re-installing the bolt and returning it to service. I would say try the JB Weld. Like others have said make sure it's clean and has a good surface to adhere to. I had an intake manifold crack and coolant was leaking many years ago.

Ford HP Dana 44 build. I've been doing the all too common debate with my wallet, and my conscience as to which axle to put in the front of my Jeep. I built an 8.8 out of a 97 explorer that I found at the local junkyard, and I wanted something to match in strength. I'm running 4.56 gears with 33's. I may potentially go to 35's in the future.

  10. quick release doors for Cherokee | Jeep Enthusiast Forums

It helped tremendously with visibility. I just removed the door from the hinge. Two bolts broke but not a big deal. Couple downsides though: 1. Mud comes in easily off the tires. My passenger seat was covered, as well as the rear seat and the back window (inside). 2. If it rains, it comes in some. Not a big deal. 3.

Take a lesson from the old maritime boys and rig a hammock. You could attach one end to the roll bar in front of the sound bar/pods (if you have them) and fabricate a modified tripod, two ends attached to the two rear roll bar sections and one support to the ground. Hang the hammock in between and you are done.
