    We figured out how to fix it by opening Google Maps on his phone and selecting the profile picture in the top right corner. Then we went to the Location Sharing settings. Here, a notice appeared at the top of the screen that said his location was not being shared with a "FIX" button. Once we selected that button, everything is back to normal!

    Mine takes hours to refresh also. My wife is at home and map sharing still shows her at work 7 miles away. Whats the problem? Can google maps please explain. It could be life threating going to the wrong location.
