When exporting them as a .mov, I know you can select the option to ignore the stage color, but all that does is make the background a solid black instead of white. It's still there, and still not transparent. I considered using a program like PS to remove the background but the animations have a gradient, so that option seems to be ruled out.
Any transparent areas in the Illustrator file are preserved after it’s converted to Photoshop format. The export format part is more restricting. It is no problem to create a PNG with transparency using Save a Copy, Save for Web, or Export As.
In case someone is revisiting for 2020 this with the Adobe Me update 14.3.1 this happened again. I reverted back to Me v14.3 uninstalled and i actually took off the adobe exchange version of the plugin and went to the same maker's site directly and used the legacy installer.

I've been working on an icon for design reasons, and when i save the file as a .BMP, the background appears white. The file i work in has no background and it transparent, except for the icon of course. The dimensions of the icon are 32px by 32px. I figured out that in order to be able to insert transparent images in PDF using Acrobat Reader, the image file has to be converted into PDF version with transparent background. It doesn't recognize transparent JPEG, PNG, etc which will cause the background to be black. I wish this can be fixed so that it will be easier to upload transparent ...
