    If you have some background in Arabic and want a reference for translating a chunk of text, google translate is good. If you want to translate a specific term that isn’t widely used in English or Arabic, Reverso context is the best. If you want to look in to etymology of a word in Arabic, wiktionary will get the job done most of the time.

    I translated a lot in university both Classical and Modern Standard Arabic. I would suggest using traditional dictionaries specific for the type of Arabic you want to translate (Fusha, MSA, dialects etc.). Apart from them, for MSA, you can use in combination with the dictionaries, but with caution Google Translate, al-Maany, and Reverso Context

    fine-tune a specific english/language pair based on llama. llama as a foundation model is only very strong with english. but you could develop a fine tune with the help of a much larger model, like gpt4, in a week or so. run 100k bidirectonal inference translations or so using gpt4, then use that dataset to fine tune your favorite llama model.

    Google Translate is number one translation tool for sentences. It only gets about 5 out of 50 words wrong. It's free. There are some paid translation tools that I've come across while searching. They are used by businesses and governments and universities. At least that is who these websites market their services toward.
