Quick rule of thumb is to divide the regular saver interest rate by 2. This would equate to having the whole amount is in a savings/current account. E.g. £1200 in a 2% regular saver at £100pm is roughly equivalent to 1% account (£12). So 0.5% would be worse (£6).
