Best price at the time and all online with no clinicals. The few pre-reqs I had left, I did at the community college and did the RN to BSN program from August til May of the next year (2 semesters). I can’t remember exactly but I think I took the shorter classes (like maybe they were 8 weeks long or something). 2. Reply.
Since I plan on pursuing NP or CRNA shortly, I'm looking for a trustworthy online BSN program. I also looked into Capella, but decided against it due to their questionable grading system and reputation as a diploma mill. University of Texas at Arlington. Pretty straight forward but you do have to take Texas History which is pretty boring if you ...
At what point do the parents no longer have a say in their kid’s emergency care and how do you handle it where you work? upvotes · comments r/nursing
Its weird that you mention this. I am currently enrolled in UIC rn-bsn after a good 2 months of searching for good programs and all that had been thrown in my face were schools like WGU, UTA, Capella etc., and this is with scouring the likes of allnurses.com, reddit, youtube and many google searches of top rated online RN-BSN programs.
Nuru83. •. Capella is a great program for this, no exams, just papers and you can basically turn in hot garbage and still pass. So long as a check clears, they’ll give you the degree. Which to be honest is what we’re all after anyways with the BSN plus it’s really cheap you can easily get it done for $3000.
You cannot do regular nursing school online. There has to be a clinical component. What most people are talking about when they’re talking about that is getting their BSN after they already have their RN which you can do 100% online. 67. squishchef. • 1 yr. ago. My local community college offers an online option.
I was informed during an intake call for the RN to BSN program that WGU is now requiring 100 direct patient care clinical hours - precepted by an MSN level nurse. The hours are required for two courses (one course is 45 hours, the other 55 hours). The hours must be completed while enrolled in the course, before you can move to the next course.
RN to BSN usually have no clinicals bc you’re already a nurse so that seems weird. Most just need you provide proof that you’re registered, not proof of clinical experience bc that is already assumed if you’re a registered nurse so that seems sketchy. BSN is basically just writing a lot of papers
BSN is just some online bullshit classes where you post in dumb student chats about issues that don’t actually matter. Worry about your ADN, after that BSN is easy and should take up very little of your. Everybody on my unit calls their BSN their “bullshit in nursing” for a reason. 1. TarantulaWhisperer.
