The State House is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (September/October only - 11:00-2:00 September 14 & 28). If you need assistance, contact the Sergeant at Arms’ office at 802-828-2228 or by email using the link below.

At the State House, students walk through one of the nation’s oldest and best preserved state capitols, learn about Vermont history and government, and can even observe Vermont’s legislature when it is in session.
Today, performing artists from around the state, in genres ranging from classical music to bluegrass, barbershop, poetry, dance and theater, perform at 7:30 PM in the well of the House Chamber every Wednesday night during most of the legislative season, from late January through mid-April.
