I just checked with Amidst and slime chunks are identical with a seed used in 1.12.2 and 1.13.2. Just because mapping is about 3 times faster I would use 1.12.2 with your 1.14 seed to find slime chunks. General Biome mapping is the same also. There are no dangerous weapons. There are only dangerous people.
Member Details. Given you are on multiplayer I doubt you will be able to use any mods to identify slime chunks. You best bet is to do some exploring. Explore caves (lighting them as you go) and when you find slimes dig out a 32x32 area. Then be patient and sit back 24 blocks and watch where slimes actually spawn.
I used the chunkbase site to find a group of 4 slime chunks not far from my base in 1.8 release. Works fine; there are slimes spawning there if I wait at the appropriate distance for 5 minutes or so (during the day.) I've made 3 levels in those 4 chunks so I've got 12 "chunk-platforms" working.
Well, I found a 3 chunk row of slime eligible squares, and I completely cleared it out from bedrock to layer 16, then made 3 floors; the bottom floor starting at bedrock, a floor 3 rows higher (creating a space of 3 blocks between floors) and then another, also 3 rows higher.
Once you have the mod installed, all you need to do is press the slime chunk GUI keybind (Default: "M"). This will pop up an empty GUI with a button up top asking you to get the seed. Press the button and it will display a map of all the chunks around you and whether they can spawn slimes or not.
I used chunkbase in my 1.14.4 world (my world was originally generated in 1.14.3), and it correctly found a slime chunk (I know because I built a farm last night where it told me to, and it's getting slimeballs right now ). I don't think seeds have changed slime spawning algorithms in years, actually.
I personally don't bother with slime chunks. I did some terraforming in nearby swamp to make it flat, with a lot less water surface and less trees. A single night there at full moon with a looting III sword can yield a ton of slimeballs. But, if you use forge, there are mods that will tell you if you are in a slime chunk.
Remember that chunks are 16 blocks square and they start at 0, so the blocks between 0,0 and 15,15 inclusive would be one chunk, etc. The slime finder that IAMBaldur888 linked for you indicates the corners of each chunk, too (down in the lower right, updating as you move your cursor between squares) so you know exactly where to dig your slime ...
Ingame Mod (1.7.x & 1.6.6) This mod expands your F3 screen to show the world seed as well as whether or not slimes can spawn in your current chunk.
Not possible because slimes only spawn in slime producing chunks. It's not possible to see these with a specified texture pack. But an XRay would help to see all the way to bedrock to see caves in which they may spawn in. I suggest Strongestcraft. Use the search bar.
