Current Zoology is a bimonthly peer-reviewed open access scientific journal of zoology. It was established in 1935 as Acta Zoologica Sinica , obtaining its current name in 2009. It is published by Oxford University Press and sponsored by both the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China Zoological Society .
It covers the systematic study of animal sciences, connected with evolutionary research. The journal was established in 1963 as the Zeitschrift für zoologische Systematik und Evolutionsforschung and published by Akademische Verlagsgesellschaft. [1] It obtained its current title in 1994 when it was moved to Wiley-VCH. [2]
