Nags Head Beach Cottages Historic District, also known as the Nags Head Beach Cottage Row Historic District, is a national historic district located at Nags Head, Dare County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 41 contributing buildings dating from the late-19th and early-20th century.
The Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve is 1,092 acres (4.42 km 2) and lies North of Jockey's Ridge and east of Roanoke Sound. It was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1974. [19] As in any other beach town, the ocean and shoreline are the major attractions, providing beaches for swimming, sunbathing, and a variety of water sports.
The current Bodie Island Lighthouse (pronounced “body island”) is the third that has stood in this vicinity of Bodie Island on the Outer Banks in North Carolina and was built in 1872. It stands 156 feet (48 m) tall and is located on the Roanoke Sound side of a portion of a peninsula that is the first part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

The store was built in 1914, and the house in 1933. The store is a two-story frame Outer Banks Shingle Style building with a hipped shingle roof.
