Dharma Sri Munasinghe (March 1, 1930 – August 30, 2004) was a Sinhala radio playwright and film screenwriter and director, best known for his work as the writer of the famous Sinhala radio plays Muvan palessa and Monara thenna. He was also an award-winning Sinhala drama actor, and featured in the play Maname.
Maname is generally considered the first real Sinhala drama, signalling the transition from the Nadagam or folk drama to the modern theatrical drama format. [5] After the successful venture, he continued as a playwright, developing his next stylist play Sinhabahu in 1961, which is widely considered as his best work.

In 1981, Attanayake won the award for Best Actor at State Drama Festival for the role "Paththini" in the play Mini Salamba. She is one of the earliest pillars in Sri Lankan television history. She acted in many popular serials including Palingu Manike , Ella Langa Walawwa , Yashorawaya , Parana Tawuma , Nelli Gedara and Anu Nawayen Nawaya .
Her drama career started with U.A.S Perera's Lama Pitiya program in Radio Ceylon.She sang the song Surathal Nangiye with U.A.S Perera and W. A. Wijepala in 1939. [5] Then in 1956, Gunawardena entered to stage drama with the main role as the first queen in play Maname by Ediriweera Sarachchandra.
In 2019, Herath met Professor Charith Jayathilake and discussed about an educational film. [2] Along with that intention, Herath asked Dharshana Vidya Aravinda to write the screenplay. [ 6 ] Chandana Jayasinghe is the cinematographer, Ajith Ramanayake is the editor [ 14 ] and Chinthaka Jayakodi is the music director.
