"Vamos a la playa" is a song by the Italian Italo disco duo Righeira, released in 1983 as the second single from their debut studio album, Righeira (1983). It was written by Johnson Righeira , the duo's lead vocalist, and producer Carmelo La Bionda . [ 2 ]
Some of the earliest versions of "Vamos a la playa" tracks back to 1981, when Righi and some acquaintances paid visit to a mutual friend's music studio in Florence during New Year's Eve. According to Righi, he came up with the signature phrase "Vamos a la playa, oh-o-o-o-oh" while he was playing on a keyboard in the studio. [11]
