The Slippery Rock Sliders were a professional, and later collegiate summer baseball team based in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, in the United States. They were a member of the Frontier League and the East Division of the summer collegiate Prospect League .
The ballpark was home of the Prospect League's Slippery Rock Sliders (2009-2013). It was also the home of the Slippery Rock Sliders of the Frontier League in 2007. The Frontier Sliders played a partial home schedule in 2007, then left Slippery Rock to become a full-time road team in 2008.

The Sliders were Ypsilanti's first pro baseball team in nearly a century, since they were awarded a franchise in the Class D Border League in 1913. The Border League was sometimes called a "trolley league" because its six franchises (in southeastern Michigan and Ontario, Canada) were located on the interurban lines; they played a limited schedule of games, primarily on weekends.
The franchise was previously located in Slippery Rock, PA and was known as the Sliders prior to relocating to Ohio in time for the 2014 season. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The Sliders were originally a member of the Frontier League , [ 3 ] but left the league after the 2007 season, its only year as a member.
