Saw the video, and it looks fantastic. I've been waiting for a "good" cave monster mod for over a decade, and Gargin's design philosophy is spot-on. Fingers crossed that it's not just YouTuber bait for a few clicks. The guy made his CurseForge account 4 days ago, and the mod has no source code or issue tracker available.
better cave dweller (this version contains an extra sound pack), the midnight lurker, the man from the fog, from the fog (herobrine, seems to be bugged in the latest version 1.20.1 but still works!). the other mods that are interesting but don't work together or seem to: the starved stalker. the corpse talker.
However, I've never encountered the cave dweller in game. I heard his "warning" sounds in caves but he never spawned. Do you know what is wrong? I've seen some other youtubers use the same mod as well and somehow make the cave dweller spawn. I can spawn him by commands and the spawn egg, meaning the mod is working.

The issue was "cave dweller animation not found" - After a couple of tries and the game continuously crashing we decided to just remove the mod so we took it out of the folder and deleted it. BUT when you go back into the game it still says the mod is downloaded and in the mod pack. My question would be either 1. How to fully remove a mod or 2.
The Dweller should NOT be the main focus point of your adventure. You should be able to roam around at the overworld as usual, explore the Nether and the End for fun, and only have to worry about the Cave Dweller when entering a cave. If it adds any extra mechanics outside of caves, can appear where ever (looking at you Fog Man) or takes over ...

Cave Dweller Mod Help. Hey! So quick question for all you smart people. I recently installed the Cave Dweller mod into my mod pack with it and geckolib as that mod needs gecko to function. And the game starts up fine, but when I’m in the cave and the actual mob spawns the entire game crashes.
