I'm an indie dev looking for TTS options. ElevenLabs appears to be the best quality however I'm a little concerned about the pricing for an indie project. If I go for the creator plan ($22 - 100,000 Characters per month (~2 hours audio)) I feel like that audio time would be be used up real quick, even by a handful of users.
Be aware that voice cloning requires a paid subscription, but you can use premade or generated (from Voice Design or Voice Library) voices. Where it seems to be lagging behind ElevenLabs is in intonation, cadence, and pronunciation, and generally sounds more robotic compared to ElevenLabs' buttery smoothness. But for the price, it's workable, and is probably the best free TTS voice cloner out right now.
