The academy operates a three-year, Key Stage 3 where all the core National Curriculum subjects are taught in year 7 and 8. In year 9 students select the humanities subject they wish to do in years 10 and 9. This becomes one of their Key Stage 4 options. This is a transition year. At the end of that year they are guided to choose 4 options.
