The company was formed by Carl Goldberg (1912-1985) in 1955. [1] Carl Goldberg Models manufactures radio-controlled (RC) aircraft and components. This company was purchased by Great Planes Model Manufacturing on August 24, 2007.

The Daimler-Benz DB 602, originally known as Daimler-Benz LOF.6, was a German diesel cycle aero engine designed and built in the early 1930s. It was a liquid-cooled upright V16, and powered the two Hindenburg-class airships.
Fuel consumption was only slightly higher at 450 L/h (99 imp gal/h; 120 gal/h). This was a 23% increase in thrust with slightly more than a 9% increase in fuel consumption. As a result, the VI series were used to re-engine many II-series powered aircraft, and Marboré II engines became available at discount prices.
The Gnome 7 Lambda was a French designed, seven-cylinder, air-cooled rotary aero engine that was produced under license in Britain and Germany. Powering several World War I-era aircraft types it was claimed to produce 80 horsepower (60 kW) from its capacity of 12 litres (730 cubic inches) although recorded figures are lower.
Production of the DB 603 commenced in May 1942, and with a 44.5 liter (44,500 cc) displacement, was the largest displacement inverted V12 aircraft engine to be used in front line aircraft of the Third Reich during World War II.
