The Green Knights joined the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) in July 2020 after 38 years in the Midwest Conference (MWC). [ 1 ] [ 2 ] Prior to joining the NACC full-time, St. Norbert had been a member of that league in men's volleyball in the 2020 season (2019–20 school year), the school's first in that sport.
The Green Knights have achieved league, county and state titles in football, baseball, basketball, wrestling, golf, ice hockey, and winter and spring track and field athletics in the last two decades. The Green Knights' rivals include Bergen Catholic High School, Don Bosco Preparatory High School and Paramus Catholic High School. [citation needed]
Women's squads are fielded in basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, indoor track & field, outdoor track & field and volleyball. The newest NACC sports are men's volleyball, added in the 2017–18 school year, [ 1 ] and men's and women's lacrosse, added in the 2020-21 school year.
The Green Knights football team has their home games at Alumni Stadium, located on the high school campus. The stadium has a cement-based home section, stretching from goal line to goal line and rising 20 rows above the field. A smaller visitors section was installed on the other side of the field in the early to mid-2000s.

Unlike other AIAW-sponsored sports, there were not separate Division I, II, and III championships for indoor track and field. Held for the first two years as an invitational, the meet gained its official national championship status in 1980, though it was called a "de-facto" championships for the two years preceding that.
