Gaslight Square (also known as Greenwich Corners) [1] was an entertainment district in St. Louis, Missouri active in the 1950s and 60s, covering an area of about three blocks at the intersection of Olive and Boyle, near the eastern part of the current Central West End and close to the current Grand Center Arts District.
Central West End station is a light rail station on the Red and Blue lines of the St. Louis MetroLink system. [4] This at-grade station is located in the Central West End neighborhood just southeast of the intersection of Euclid Avenue and Children's Place.

It is distinguished by its history of LGBTQ advocacy, beginning in 1969 with its association with the Mandrake Society. For this, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.
Playboy magazine featured The West End as "College Bar of the Month" in its February 2005 issue. The West End qua West End was sold in April 2006 and was replaced in late 2006 by "Havana Central at the West End", part of the expanding "Havana Central" chain of Cuban restaurants. The Havana Central closed on May 28, 2014, when the lease ended. [3]
